THE CHANCERY

The Chancery of the Philippine Embassy is located along busy Sukhumvit Road, between the Phrom Phong and Thonglor BTS stations. The property, which measures approximately 8,000 square meters, was acquired by the Philippine government in 1963.  

Along the property's right side runs Soi Philippines (Sukhumvit Soi 30/1), which was inaugurated on 12 June 1998 by then Ambassador Reynaldo Arcilla, Thai Acting Foreign Minister Sukhumband Paribatra, and Bangkok Governor Bhichit Rattakul in commemoration of the Philippine Centennial.

It is widely known that the previous owners were of Thai royal lineage. The Embassy is currently undertaking research on the history of the property and its former owners.
