> Drug traffickers > POEA online application In compliance with the guidelines and authority issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Philippine Embassy will start implementing the issuance of the Machine Readable Passport (MRP) in the latter part of August 2008. The Embassy has been instructed by Secretary of Foreign Affairs Alberto G. Romulo to accelerate the transition from the manually scripted passport (green) to MRP (maroon) in order for Filipinos to be at par with the standard set for international travelers. > Requirements

Embassy turns over donation: The Philippine Embassy turns over donation to victims of the fatal vehicular accident on 7 May 2008 . The accident, which claimed the life of a Filipino expatriate worker and injured nine others, took place in Thailand's northern province of Udon Thani on 7 April 2008.
