House Speaker Jose De Venecia stops in Bangkok: Ambassador Antonio V. Rodriguez (extreme right) welcomes Hon. Jose De Venecia, Jr., Speaker of the House of Representatives, during the latter's arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport on 1 July 2007. Speaker De Venecia arrived in the Thai capital after his official trip to Equatorial Guinea as member of the high-level delegation which accompanied H.E. President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on her State Visit to the West African republic on 26 June 2007.

HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the event’s opening ceremony. During the Princess’ visit at the Philippine booth, she was briefed by Madam Rodriguez on the traditional handicrafts and other products presented by the Philippine Embassy. Some 50 countries participated in the event.

The former president was in Thailand on 9-12 March 2007 upon the invitation of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) and Siam University (SU). Secretary Romulo arrives in Bangkok: Foreign Affairs Secretary Romulo arrived in Bangkok on 3 March 2007 for an overnight stay en route to Jakarta for the Sub-regional meeting on counter-terrorism. The Secretary (center) was accompanied by his wife, Madam Rosie Lovely Romulo (3rd-L), Mr. Evan P. Garcia (2nd-R) and other DFA officials. They were welcomed at Suvarnabhumi Airport’s VVIP Lounge by Ambassador Antonio V. Rodriguez (L), Madam Janette Rodriguez (3rd-R) and other Embassy personnel.
