The world-renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers performed at the Shangri-La Hotel Ballroom on 13 June 2003 in commemoration of the 105th anniversary of Philippine independence. More than 500 guests attended the event.

The group visited Thailand to study its housing industry and programs and policies for mass housing

8 Oct 2003 - Ambassador Rodriguez received Deputy House Speaker for Mindanao Gerry Salapuddin, Rep. Abdullah Dimaporo, and Lanao del Norte Governor Imelda Dimaporo. The group met with officials of the Central Islamic Authority of Thailand to exchange best practices on welfare and development policies for Muslim communities.

18 July 2003 - Ambassador Sonia Brady has ended her sojourn in Thailand after 14 months as the top Filipino envoy in the country. Much respected by her peers in the Philippine foreign service.
